Explore Early American cooking and foodways with the culinary historians at Benjamin Bannaker Historical Park & Museum. Using a wood-burning hearth and bake oven, they will demonstrate the cooking techniques used by Benjamin Banneker and his Patapsco Valley neighbors. The Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum in Catonsville, MD is a 142-acre site dedicated to telling the inspiring story of Benjamin Banneker, an African-American naturalist, mathematician, astronomer and almanac author. The museum has something for everyone, whether their interest is colonial history, astronomy, cultural activities, hiking or nature and environmental conservation. Trails through the woods connect to the Number Nine Trolley Line Trail, a paved multiuse path.
